This mini-documentary looks back at The Traditional Print Masterclasses from the The Print Show 2015 and hears how masters of their craft are keeping these amazing skills and technology alive. If you visit this special area at The Print Show 2016 (October 11th to 13th, 2016), it will transport you hundreds of years into print’s past, as experts in the fields of letter-press, intaglio printing, and iron hand presses rub shoulders with master bookbinders, paper-makers, and foiling specialists. The Grange, Kluge International, Signature, Bindings, Griffen Mill, and St Brides Foundation will all run workshops in their own specialism that you can get hand on with all day every day and make your very own piece of print history.

The rich industrial heritage of the United Kingdom is celebrated around the world, a shining example of a cultural dedication to hard work, innovation, and pioneering spirit. And a core part of this legacy is its printing industry, which remains the fifth largest in the entire world. And while of course it is vital to understand where our industry is headed, The Print Show believes celebrating this history and bringing its art forms to life is an important part of its mission to ensure the UK print community continues to be held in such high regard.
